Whimsical Candy supports Pastry Arts education.

‚ÄčLa-Dee-Dahs were in excellent company at the recent "For the Love of Chocolate" event to benefit the scholarship fund of Chicago's French Pastry School and foundation. Other sponsoring guest chefs included Rick Bayless of Frontera Grill, Paul Kahan of Blackbird, Sherry Yard of Spago and Sarah Kosikowski of Trump Hotel Chicago. The black tie event drew more than 800 attendees and filled the entire first floor of the Mart for an indulgent evening of all things chocolate. Whimsical Candy's founder, Chris Kadow-Dougherty, is a French Pastry School alum and has been a proud supporter of the event for the past two years. Pictured in the photo are Chef Sebastian Canonne, MOF, (co-founder of the French Pastry School), Chris Kadow-Dougherty, Chef Jacquy Pfeiffer, co-founder of the French Pastry School, and Susan Edmonson, a current student who assisted Whimsical Candy at the event.
